Tahiti Hotel Guide
& Hotels Picture Gallery

Our Tahiti hotel guide aims to help you find the right accommodation for your holidays by offering for free the largest collection of independently taken photographs of Tahiti hotels from all around the country. We have personally visited all hotels in Papeete, around Moorea and on Bora Bora and have selected what we consider the best Tahiti hotels in all price categories from luxurious overwater bungalows to pension guesthouses. These are presented in both a hotels directory as well as in a handy location map (see below) so you know exactly where the property is situated. All hotel pages offer detailed independent reviews, pictures of all individual room categories, retail prices, specials and an instant booking facility.

To view Tahiti hotel locations and individual property pictures, please select a hotel name in the map below - Tahiti is the main island in the Society Island group with the capital town of Papeete and international airport whilst Moorea and Bora Bora are the two main holiday destinations.

Our Hotel Guide

Tahiti hotels are famous for their over water settings and as the idyllic honeymoon destination. There are several large international chains, many with multi-island locations and all offering beautiful bungalows perched over turquoise lagoons with steps leading down to the water and a glass bottom floor in the bedroom to watch the fish at night. This is the stuff of dreams - and unfortunately the extortionate prices are beyond the reach of many. Such bungalows start at US$400 per night, and dining out in the resort restaurant is another sting to the wallet. However, for those prepared to pay these prices, every bit of luxury can be expected. There are of course slightly cheaper accommodation options at these resorts, either in garden rooms or beach bungalows, but compared to other South pacific destinations the prices are still very high. For independent travellers wishing to explore the beautiful islands, a good option is to stay at one of the many samll pension guesthouses. These offer clean simple wooden bungalows with private bathrooms, sometimes with self catring facilities.
